    2019 DC 4v4 OR AT 2500 miles.

In D at 45 (where I do a lot of driving) it runs around 1000 rpm and just sputters and is a real "dog" with no throttle response so I got frustrated after a week of this and gave her a good "Italian Tune Up" today.

I then put it in S mode and what a difference. Guess I'm hooked on S mode now. The irony is after driving for 20 minutes in S mode, I got 22 mpg when I normally get 17 mpg lol!

What does S mode do? I’ve only used it for a few miles in the 9000 I’ve had my 2018

I always use S4 in town. It makes a real difference.
To answer the question above, S4 takes it out of AI shifting and you can limit the gear it goes to. So when I use S4 it makes it where the truck will only shift up to 4th gear, therefore preventing it from trying to go into overdrive.

What speed limit would you consider around town? 45?

Where I use S4 the max speed is 45 down the main Street. Other streets is max 35.
