Mine does this too, seems speed based on first take off after start, in reverse or first. Sounds like a relay clicking to me. Not sure what it is, but not worried about it either.

Not worried at all! I was more just curious what relay would be clicking over.

I am in the market to get one of those new sporty Corolla hatchbacks ... haven't had a hatchback since 2oo4 lol which was a '79 rwd MT

I want to get the MT 6sp
dealer did not have one on the lot to test drive
they told me I MUST pay deposit for them to transport from ~500 miles away in a dealer inventory swap
    wth

Buyer beware. There’s no handbrake on the new Corollas. It has an electronic parking brake.

I have had mine (used '18 Pro) since 3/31 and I love it. No off road adventures yet, but daily driving the truck has been a treat. I traded in a '18 Colorado ZR2 for it. Thge ZR2 had better on road manners, but I really wanted another manual so I a made the switch. The interior is also a million times better in the Pro, even without the ApplePlay BS.

You can leave it running.. it’s a button so it’s either brake on or brake off. There’s no in between

but now i gotta trust the damn electronics :(

guess I better throw some blocks or something in the hatchback to put underneath the wheels lol

or do the actuarial math on the wear and tear of always turning off engine when stepping away from the vehicle
    this is complicated :pout:

I did a quick search on Cars.com and they are showing 904 Manuals currently available, you should be able to find a dealer that would want to make a deal.

We bought a 2019 Corolla hatch auto, it actually has MT mode with paddle shifters on the steering wheel, which I never use. It’s pretty sweet at 180hp.

They do come with MT just didn’t want a MT as a daily driver in Northeast traffic.

All the cool kids over at Toyota Nation (Corolla 13th Gen hatch) forums quietly give me shit since they all have MT. I don’t even tell them I have a truck.

If you get a Corolla MT post a review.

    is that an XSE ?
did you go against the side moldings option?
    and mudguards?

Not sure on side molding. It’s just the SE with 16” rims. The XSE has 17” rims, bigger rear spoiler and leather which is about $3k-4K more if I recall.

I’m driving over 40k miles a year, so I wanted the cheapest most reliable car out there. This was $19,800 sticker which is an incredible price for all the features even in an SE. Plus made in Japan.

i was just looking at the brochure they gave me with different options
I thought the side moldings were ..... not sure!

.. read somewhere the MT is less than the AT? $1200 or 1500? ... I have to double check that!

all made and assembled and put on big shipping boxes
.. wonder if they transport these across the USA on trains? and then unload them onto trailers
