If you’re going for the look and not going to off road it, spacer lifts are ok. If you are going to wheel it, at least get bilstein 5100’s. Still cheap, but will work much better.

For the 4Runners are the 5100’s all around and EMU 886/7/8 coils upfront the popular option? What springs would you recommend for the rear?

Yep it’s a popular setup just like the Tacoma. Rear springs are 889,895, or 898. And just like the front it will depend on how much added weight you have and how much lift you want. Higher the number the stiffer the spring.

That’s awesome man, I greatly appreciate it. I’m looking to ditch the Tacoma soon so just trying to piece the puzzle together for when the time comes. Thank you!

Hey I love the 4Runner and the Tacoma. If I didn’t need a truck then I’d probably have gotten the 4Runner. That said, my truck isn’t much use as a truck anymore.

I love my Tacoma as well but I haven’t used the “truck” features aka the bed. I think I’ve used the bed maybe two times since I purchased it. The 4Runner probably suits my preferences better and has better seating. If I could have both I would without a doubt, but the 4Runner takes the cake when only one can be chosen.

We are lucky to have both. The truck isn’t much of a truck anymore and more of a toy, and the 4Runner is perfect for everything else. Tons of cargo room with the seats folded, plenty capable off road, and more comfortable to drive.

Susan getting some maintenance done. Front brakes tonight, rears will get swapped this weekend. And I’ll steal the old front rotors for my Tacoma for a cheap big brake kit. 8234256C-CADE-43D6-A9BF-FF99986BB80D.jpg

Street youths had their way this weekend. Worst thing is it didn’t get above freezing and the egg was frozen solid by the time we came out and saw it.

I got bologna'd once when i was in high-school. Girlfriend and her friends thought it would be funny but it ate straight down to the metal. Looked like my car had chicken pox.

Yes I broke up with her. Yes my friends and I waited for finals week and deflated her tires so she couldn't make it to school on time. Then she couldn't take her finals because she was late and lost her full ride scholarships to college which lead her to work at McDonald's and now she's addicted to crack because she never got an education.

Or maybe we never did any of that because even at 17 we were semi reasonable human beings.

Didn’t get any pics but just threw on some new Falken Wildpeak A/Ts on the 4Runner.

And don’t tell my wife but just ordered up some 2.5” comp adjustable ADS coil overs and 2.5” triple bypasses for the rear for this thing. Should be delivering sometime in the spring and this thing will finally be getting some real love
