Btw... since fixing the 04B30 tune issue or what have you my fuel mileage has increased 10 folds. 2019 sr5 XSP with K&N and Duratrac tires. Was around 17-18mpg max prior.

Mine has improved nicely too. I believe it is related to warmer temps and off winter gas.

@OVTune I’m excited to see the results of this week’s testing for tire sizes. If all goes well, do you foresee us being able to tune for tire size before June?

I'm using it with 93 Octane and Performance so I don't know why Matt is saying he doesn't recommend using it

Are you using a sprint booster?
Sprint-Booster-V3_Category_1500-800x800.jpg That it was he is recommending not to use with the tune.
Edit: in all transparency, I have a manual transmission so I don't have a good frame of reference, But I would have to imagine that this device is trying to change what the tune is trying to control, and that might lead to unexpected results at times.

Probably because he developed the tune for use without the Sprint Booster and he hasn't tested it with the tune. So it would be hard for him as the developer of the tune to recommend this product. He probably couldn't recommend the Shift Sense Pro either for the same reasons but many here use it in conjunction with the tune and like it. I myself will be using one (SSP) shortly to improve shifting.

Yeah, for all we know it could push past some limit or tested settings. Neither SSP nor OVTune would be liable and we can't expect them to test for each others product since they are both attempting to solve an overlap of a problem (aka pedal suckage).

Performance tune + sprint booster can be a dangerous throttle scenario.

Regarding updates that are being asked about. Just watch our blog posts, we have no set timelines right now.

Regarding 1.05 shifting, the aim was to fix highway driving which I think we did quite well, however there are still some limits of stock shift code that needs adjusting which we are doing

Agree. But in all fairness to the SSP, it doesn't do anything you couldn't do manually in S mode. It just does it for you. ETA; but I wouldn't use it with the Gear Lock tune.

Also regarding shifting. Want to let everyone know after driving the Tundra for a week.. It doesn't have some magic combination.
It shifts above 2000 rpm, it is clunky, and it is not a torque beast below 2000 rpm

The only thing it does better honestly is highway. But that's because highway, 70 mph is 2000 + rpm.
Around town tacoma wins no doubt about it.

I use ECT mode all the time with Meso's on all the time mod. But I can't speak to how extensively it was tested by OVTune.
