Custom LED Map and Dome lights

I'm still kinda jealous. I have shitty china LEDs in mine that flicker like crazy. You'll love these!

 

I have maps and dome but still can’t wait for the super dome. It will be glorious

 

Wow, these things are bright !! Installed my dome light last night (2 minute install).
I have Amazon led map lights as of now.

 

I did mine this morning and even in the daylight the dome light is freaking Bright. Now just need the map lights

 

For all of you waiting/ trying to get ahold of the white dome, I was using this bulb from Amazon (link below) and it was just about as bright. The diffuser actually helps a lot. I have one to sell to for $5 including shipping. It's not your average crap LED that flickers. These are high quality.

Is the 31 MM what we need?

 

Mine wouldn’t take s 31 because it was to big- and that was spreading the tabs as much as possible. I had to go with a 30 and still had to spread the prongs to fit.

Dome light is patently waiting in my mailbox while I impatiently wait to get off work

 

And the lawd said let there be light! Before picture was while there was still some daylight and the new dome is still brighter.

 

Damn, brighter than the Sun.

Brother you ain't lyin'. Forgot I had the interior lights on when I plugged it in and got punched in the face by the Lord of light.

 

Is the foam tape on the back used to stick? Or is it just as a cushion For the board

 

It is not used as an adhesive for installation. More than likely just a "cushion-y" material that also is friendly to heat, but I am not the expect

 

No need to peel it off. It’s just a protective barrier for the led circuits.

 

My <year old red maps are dying, one row occasionally flickering but generally not illuminated. Anyone had that problem and figured out how to fix it? Love these things, great mod, but the dim row is tripping my ocd.

 

I had some red ones way back when that had some rows go out all of a sudden. PM your contact info and I’ll gladly send some new boards
