Yep that's for SoCal, just waiting to hear back on my friends dyno schedule.
And now that our dyno is on the way we may be looking for a local MT to push things along quickly.

They are pretty solid files, but I'm of course going to be the fly in the ointment here.

Notwithstanding the issues my particular truck has, we (the M/T community) have been harping about a few main things since this journey started:

    1. Rev hang;

    2. Inconsistent throttle response when blipping for downshift; and

    3. Inconsistent engine braking.

We have been waiting patiently (well, mostly lol), while feature after feature and fix after fix has been rolled out for the A/T crowd.

I mean, we're not really asking for much, Mat.

As far as any of the above being a requirement to meet a tuning goal... well they're all driveability issues IMHO.

I love what you've done for our trucks so far, and hope you can show us M/T guys a bit more love soon.

    1. Rev hang, already posted how this will be eliminated.

    2. Throttle response, already posted on that.

    3. Engine braking. I've tried. The engine is tiny, as a result engine braking is tiny. (best answer I have right now because I've tried practically everything).

yes I know the AT guys get fix after fix. It has 10x the issues the MT has, and 10x the amount of people who I think don't really know how they want to truck to act. This is not saying I care about MT development less.
The AT development comes first mainly because the length of extremes it can get to. I'm sure you've all seen.

But, but, BUT, wouldn't you want to get rid of the low hanging fruit (MTs) so that we can help stem the tide (ATs)? :D

Will future tweaks to the MT tunes include something for FO that more closely resembles the 1.05BFO test map, as opposed to what we currently have with the FOB maps?

I think the main complaint he's talking about is the DFCO related surge at ~1500 RPM when decelerating off the throttle. I know that's been discussed too but don't recall if you had a fix? That's the biggest engine braking issue I'm aware of-
Otherwise his post is pretty spot on but we are all just waiting patiently for you

Guys... did I miss the rev hang solution post?

    I can't find it.

..or was that part of the single map thing... dunno.

    Nice!

The vice versa of that seems to be what the ATs want.

I don't think Mat has precisely broken down the throttle response on blip solution.
We do know he was looking for clutch switch data from the recent RAM dump request. If activation of the top clutch switch could be used to invoke a the same map every time, well that could work. I also think rev hang could be dealt with the same way. Just spitballing, I'm sure it's more complicated than that lol.

That, or just ensure that all gears and neutral are always on the same map. No switching when the clutch is touched.

Just a guess that the RAM dump might identify the path that the signal initiates. That would allow the tune to control it one way or another?

I might have a special request that 5th and 6th get the MPG tune, but I could live without that as Base and FOB are both feeling pretty damn good on the highway. And, FOB versus 04B13 are giving me the same or better MPGs, which is just excellent.

now that summer is back and i can let 'er eat a bit the rev hang is really bothering me again. thats really my only complaint. You should drive the manual on the street a bit in socal, you'll see what were on about.

The other thing i want to propose is making a throttle pedal spacer so we can heal toe the truck. IDK if its out of the question based on liability but it seems so wrong not to blip a down shift while braking. Am I the only one that feels this way?
