Will/Could Apple CarPlay come to 2018s?

Have a 2018 Tacoma and just wondering if once the 2020s are out is there a possibility 3rd gens could get Apple CarPlay via some sort of update?

 

Nope. Won't happen. Toyota never does stuff like that. If you really want CarPlay in your 2018, you'll either have to buy an aftermarket head unit or buy the new 2020 headunit from the dealer which I'm sure will cost something ridiculous. Of course, this in just my opinion based on past Toyota actions with small updates like this.

 

TW will tell you yes and no and continually argue over it.

i think its a possibility and have been told its coming in the fall and was attacked for pages for saying so...
