Young kid ran the red light and smoked the back of my Tacoma. Just got the phone call that it is officially totaled.

I walked away with only some bruising on my shoulder. I can't speak highly enough of the safety of the truck. The side curtain airbag kept me from slamming my head on the window.

Now I get to try to find another 6 speed, hooray.

A little toothpaste will take the scratches right out.

I like to compare these trucks to Baymax from Big Hero 6. Super squishy but they do a magnificent job protecting their owners.

None whatsoever. I was really surprised by this. Granted the steering wheel airbag didn't go off.

13th and Leavenworth. He was on 13th heading out of downtown and I was coming down Leavenworth heading home....which was 4 blocks away.

Glad you're mostly OK! I always wondered about these accidents and figured now I have an opportunity to find out. How do you get hit on the left hand side and manage to have your cars impact point facing a sidewalk on the wrong side of the street?

    Good luck finding a replacement!

When he hit me it spun the truck pretty violently and went up on two wheels. I couldn't tell you exactly how many times but it was a t-bone impact and basically I spun/slid until I hit the curb which stopped the truck.

I bet it would turn a tight circle to the right with your rear axle alignment. That is if you could find a way of getting the drive shaft back in.

Glad to hear you walked relatively unscathed. Sorry to hear about your truck, though.

There seem to be a few stick shift TRD Off-Roads up here. I got to test drive a Cavalry Blue Double Cab before I bought my truck.

I really enjoyed driving the manual Tacoma. I already own a Fiat 124 Spider Abarth stickshift, so it made more sense to get an automatic truck. Otherwise I’d have gone with the manual.

    Good luck.
