Not yet..... and no progress made with all of life bs going on right now. I'm just concentrating on actually getting it into town right now. I'm getting rid of one vehicle at my house in the next 2 weeks (or less) so I'll finally have the room for it! :woot:

So I had this knocking sound coming from the rear drivers side door. I took to door panel off to investigate. I found the source was this little bugger bumping against the door frame when I went over bumps in the road.

    So, I fixed it :D

So, a friend gave me a set of his used tires for the truck. They are beefy & I’m beyond grateful!

I’ll post pictures of them once they are on the truck. :goingcrazy:

I have a knocking sound coming from the front end when I go over bumps or the weight of the truck shifts from side to side.

My first guesses are that it’s suspension related...Coilovers need rebuilding and/or lower control arm bushings/LBJ are shot.

I’m not sure yet. My my first guess would be that the coilovers might be needing a rebuild. I’ll be looking into it further in the new year...just too busy now with the holidays, family, work, etc.

After the recent rains, my leaf springs have been squeeking up a storm. It sounds like it’s coming from the rear bushing area. Hoping it just needs a little grease.

Thanks! It seems like it’s always something lol

I did however get some new to me Wet Okole front seat covers that I’m anticipating putting on. I’m going to steam the seats clean before putting the covers on.

So, after taking the truck to a local shop...I think we have narrowed down the knocking sound that’s coming from the front end when I go over bumps to the Lower Control Arm Ball Joints & Bushings being shot. So, I’m just going to order new OEM LCA’s and the surrounding hardware and swap it all out. Here is a list of parts & numbers:

    Right LCA: 48068-04040
    Left LCA: 48069-04040
Alignment Camber Adjusting Plates: 48452-35020(not sure how many of these I need)
    Bolts: 48190-60020
    Castle Nut: 90171-A0005
    Cotter Pin: 95381-03230

If it’s not the LCA stuff, it’s the Coilovers that need a rebuild.

Today I swapped out the coolant in the radiator & reservoir and replaced the little drain plug.

The OEM CV-Axle Boot Kit finally arrived.

Now to buy or borrow the right tool for the clamps & attempt to rebuild the cv axle.

Had drivers side CV-Axle replaced. Ricardo was kind enough to help me get this done in a pinch.

I also learned how to get the cv axle out in a more efficient way.

    Next on the list:

    1) Replace Outer Tie Rod Ends

    2) Replace Lower Control Arms

    3) Weld on Total Chaos Cam Tab Gussets

    4) Rebuild/Replace Coilovers

    5) Replace Leaf Spring Bushings(they squeak)

    6) Lower Front End to reduce the angle on UCA’s, prevent cv boots from rubbing so much, and be able to utilize more range of travel.

    7) Install extended length steel braided front fuel lines.

    8) Find out why Cruise Control is not working. Possibly perform this fix:
