So what tire shops do and don’t work on trucks with spacers, I’ve heard stories of people being turned down because of them...

Any need to get an alignment after installing?
I read that these can change the ride/handling characteristics of the truck. Anyone experience this?

I’ve been running Bora 1” spacers for Five years without issue. I torqued them to the recommended specs, drove them for a few days then checked the torque as recommended.

Not sure what you mean by extenders.

Use the included lock tite to bolt Spidertrax to hub. Then bolt wheel to Spidertrax, as normal. Tacoma lug bolts are known as being a little shorter... if that is what you are referring to. As a reminder I am using OEM 3rd gen TRD O.R. wheels, (exact same dimentions as 2nd gen), with my origional lug nuts.

***As an update- still running exact same set up. Have completed 2 cross country wheeling trips. Just now replaced tires. Upgraded pads and rotors. Over 50k on my Spidertrax- ZERO issues.

    Hope this helps!

Makes a difference in most things. Who produces and quality controls it is a major factor. Strength of the metal as well as cracks or fractures under the surface. Just think MIM vs forged. Just chunks of metal right? That said my vote is no to wheel spacers.

This post is a reminder of why I hate and love the Internet. 1/2 of the posts are bashing something without any evidence because “we’ve always done it this way.” And “I read it online” and the other half is giving value. I appreciate you guys. Really good info on this post.

I just bought some new tires yesterday. Pathfinder AT’s. 265/75/16 and added 1” wheel spacers. I love how it turned out! Little wider stance. I’m looking at getting new wheels soon also. Which sucks to have them remounted and balanced!
