Overly aggressive salesman

OP wasted the salesman's turn in the rotation, then logged into an internet forum to bitch about it..

 

How long before someone buys that truck, then shows up on here complaining that they thought they bought a 4x4?

 

It helped that her husband was a lawyer and knew what to have added to the bill of sale under all the parts.

 

It's sounds like both people where waving their dicks here.

 

What blows me away is how bad some salesmen are at knowing their product. I was picking up my parts at the local dealership for that TRD Sale or whatever and my wife is thinking of upgrading to the new 4Runner and I am talking to the salesman, he is pushing this Limited trip and I keep explaining to him I want to see the TRD Offroad for the MTS features and he straight up points at the 4Lo switch and tells me the limited has "4-Lockers" and that is what the switch was for
....One of those moments you just shake your head and say, "Alright Dude, Thanks"

 

Just 4? Well my Limited has 8!

 

damn... with customization ring and pinion that smart selects between 4.10 and 5.29?

 

I didn’t wanna brag, but I have “selectable” Off road abilities at the push of a button, and the Limited has a Turbo/Super Charger combo straight from the factory (dealer told me so)

the best thing you can do with an aggressive salesperson is low ball them. Tell them that you are firm on that and if they want to make a deal, that's what it will take. Just keep to your guns and eventually their head will spin. It's pretty funny.

 

I just dont understand how they got those tires on the stock wheels

I've never spent much time looking at the TRD offroads, but I just assumed they would all be 4x4?? How is it marketed as a special offroad version if it is not even 4x4?

 

My wife used to sell high line. She would literally study for hours on each car. She knew every damn thing there was to know about the 911 C4 and made several know it all customers look like idiots... and they still bought from her! God I miss when she'd come home with a fat commission on one of those bad boys.
