factory side step, didn't get a chance to do anything to it yet, haven't even got to put it in 4 wheel mode yet. Lame, but I work a lot.
I came across this guys video the other day and ended up going down the rabbit hole on youtube. I never was one for country music, and Im not sure if this is a different category or not. I read one post that described it as Appalachian Holler Twang. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOIJecsnaWg

If you like him then others like Cody Johnson, Cody Jinks, Colter Wall are similar. On the faster tempo side Whiskey Meyers is really good and one of my current faves.

Other than Cody Johnson who I really like, I've seen all of the above, including Tyler Childers several times each in the last 2-3 years. We get a lot of awesome music in Columbia, Missouri.

We just saw Whiskey Meyers about a month ago in Kansas City.

I also like Ward Davis, who tours with Cody Jinks a lot, Turnpike Troubadours(unfortunately broke up recently), Sturgill Simpson, and recently I've been listening to Paul Cauthen(who is as funny as he is a good musician).

It blows my mind much awesome music there is that doesn't get played on the radio, and how horrendously bad the music is that does get played.

Really like Cody Jinks and Whiskey Myers, it’s so true there is no good popular newer music, it awful what kids listen to, these no talent idiots.

Turnpike is one of the main bands that got me into this music. It's a shame they're split up. Hopefully, Evan Felker gets the help he needs and they can get back together.

I was fortunate to know a fairly popular female country artist in the 90's then boyfriend in the 90's. They married in 2002 and divorced in 2010 but anyway, this guy was a contractor and I helped him on the side and he was always inviting me out to there farm to hang. Finally one Sat I went over there and met his girlfriend and was like ummm dude do you know who this is? He laughed and said yeah bro, I told you to come hang out. Long story short Todd Snider was there and it was just a chill jam session around a campfire. One of the coolest things I have ever been a part of.

The guy was a complete oddball. He got a brand new truck and proceeded to beat it with a 2X4 on every panel. I thought he lost his shit then after 10 min of hitting a brand new truck he said "there, now I don't have to worry about a few dings here and there". He was an odd cat but a hell of a carpenter!

After that I started following Todd and found my way around to all these other artist since then.

I don't know if any of you guys are on instagram, but if you are check out the page Vinyl Ranch. I found it after I was already way into this kind of country, but since following them I've discovered a lot of really good artists they give exposure to. They curate some pretty cool Spotify playlists as well.

I was lucky enough to see Turnpike 7 times before their hiatus. Every time they came to town, I was there. I even got to see them perform at Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa once. That was a hell of a show!

I saw them twice and had tickets for either 3 or 4 shows they cancelled. Good news is one of the times, Whiskey Meyers took their spot on the bill and they are better anyways. Unfortunately Turnpike's albums were better than any show I saw them play.

Whitey is the man! He's been here in Columbia several times and puts on a fantastic show.

Chris Knight. You're welcome. This man is on another level. One of a small handful of artists that I've never heard one song I didn't like.

    Good first listens:
    Nothin on me
    Down the river (AMAZING STORY)
    North Dakota
    Little victories
    Cry lonely
    .... just all of them.

Rural route is my favorite Chris Knight song. He's kind of an acquired taste that I've acquired.
