Grainy video of a tornado about four miles away from my Dad last night. Buildings leveled, roofs blown off. Main road (Route 30) shut down due to poles over highway and down wires. Dad lost power for about one hour, luckily his power is fed from opposite direction. This was bad.

Don't like,,,that's one thing I don't like and fear. Because of the time of day when they generally happen I'm at work. I think I can do more at home than sitting in a shelter at work.

I agree. Years ago when I worked the second shift and we would get a warning the shelter would fill with people and cigarette smoke. I would refuse to enter instead go play storm watcher:D I knew my wife knew what to do and was reasonably safe.
At the hospital if we get a warning we are responsible for closing all the storm doors and shutters.

Tornado warnings turn me into a big chickenshit baby.
On a side note, my wife hardly raises an eyebrow.
    Short story.
We have no basement. One time during a tornado warning we quickly drove to a friend's house with a basement. On the way there she asks, "can we stop at Sonic"? There was cussing involved on my part.
