I have not nor have I tried to seal that area. To be perfectly honest the amount of water that gets in the bed is so minimal that I don’t even worry about it. In fact I can’t say I’ve had any real leaks in any rain storm, but I haven’t really checked. Most of the time if there’s water in the bed it’s from going to a car wash and hitting the whole truck with the pressure washer. YMMV.

I would also like to update with some cold-weather performance: The cover is noticeably stiffer but still pliable enough to roll up down to 0°F. So far I’ve had up to about 8 inches of light fluffy interior Alaska snow on it with no ill affects again YMMV depending on how wet your snow is. The snow brushed or blew off easily once I started driving too (don’t worry, on my two mile long drive to a main-ish road, not the open road).

I sealed that area with some butyl tape. I actually did that long before I got the tonneau, when I had a hard shell canopy. It doesn't look great and isn't 100% waterproof, but helped.

By the way, I found another benefit to the soft tonneau today when I did a dump run with tree trimmings. State law requires covering loose loads and our local dump charges extra for uncovered loads. I had a free coupon for 1 yard of greenwaste, which is about the volume of my short bed, so I just covered my load with the tonneau and didn't need a tarp.

I'm surprised they never sent foam block stick-on's with your cover. Email Tyger and see if they will send you the foam block/pads.

Has anyone put one of these on a 2019? The Tyger web page (www.tygerauto.com) indicated when it was working properly (it isn't today) that the T1 roll-up is only available for the 2019 Tundra and not the 2019 Tacoma. Their store on Amazon indicates the same, listing only 2005-2015 and 2016-2018 versions:

Tyger Auto T1 Roll Up Truck Bed Tonneau Cover TG-BC1T9045 Works with 2016-2018 Toyota Tacoma | Fleetside 6' Bed

    https://www.amazon.com/Tyger-Auto-TG-BC1T9045-2016-2018-Fleetside/dp/B01M1JZHLJ

    I emailed them about this:

When is the T1 roll-up going to be available for the 2019 Tacoma?

    Response:

Please check our website in late May. Thank you!
    Best Regards,
    TygerAuto
    Joy

What the heck is the difference with the 2019 bed compared with other 3rd generation Tacoma beds that requires a different T1 model design???

As far as I know nothing is different between the 2019 and 2016-18 beds.

Here's the link to the search results for a 2019 Tacoma with 6' bed:

    https://www.tygerauto.com/c-8-tonneau-covers.html#!submodel=6' BED||year=2019||make=TOYOTA||model=TACOMA

The only result is their T3 soft tri-fold, not their T1 roll-up. If it was just a web site problem, either on their site or in their Amazon store, that could be fixed overnight.

Note that Tyger's store on Amazon sells just that T3 trifold for the 2019 and the title indicates that it is only for the 2019 and not all 3rd gens since the usual 2016-2019 date range is not given:

Tyger Auto T3 Tri-Fold Truck Tonneau Cover TG-BC3T1631 Works with 2019 Toyota Tacoma | Fleet Side 6' Bed

    https://www.amazon.com/Tyger-Auto-Tri-Fold-Tonneau-TG-BC3T1631/dp/B07QH7VH12

That and Tyger's response saying to check back in late May leads me to believe there must be some difference with the 2019 bed versus other 3rd gens.

I have this cover and the cleats do not get in the way, opened or closed.

I ordered the 2016-2018 roll-up one from Amazon for my 2019. It will be here tomorrow so I can confirm fitment tomorrow. I dont see why it wouldnt fit as nothing has changed and one reviewer said it fit his 2019.

Anyone using this cover with a tonneau cover bed rack (like the mobtown or Voodoo hi-rise)?

I dont see why it wouldnt work, but confirmation would be best.

    Thanks.

I had a hard time deciding between the Tyger & the Extang Trifecta. @eccracer104 got me pretty good deal on the Trifecta so I ordered it this morning. :)

Yep. I trimmed the foam seal on the cover, so it would sit on the bedrails. No issues. No additional water in bed.
And with care, I can roll the cover, without moving the bars

Nice. Its a actually a really great cover. There was a “Like New” one kn Amazon that I took a chance on. Box was messed up, but cover was never mounted. Got it for $140.

And now with the KB Voodoo rails. As Chasespeed aaid, you need to trim some of the foam away for them both to work together.

Finally installed the tyger T1 roll on for a 2010 tacoma short bed and it looks very nice. Paid the $190 on Amazon and now think o should have gotten it earlier. Seems like good material... only time will tell. Thank you all for your posts.

Has anybody ran into the end of the cover shutting and the end tip keeping up rather than kind of sealing at the back gate?

I have not. Mines starting to show a little wear in places but still seals as well as it ever did around the ends and edges.
