Off Road Suspension Lift Help

I'm a total newb to suspension systems and lifts. I have attempted to google and read the suspension forum but the majority of it goes over my head. I have a 2017 Tacoma TRD Offroad 4wd with a 3"F/2"R Readylift SST Lift Kit running on 295 55R20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. I got the lift purely for aesthetic purposes but have done some off roading in them. I enjoyed the off roading so much that I would like to invest in a complete suspension system. I would really like to increase my lift height by an additional inch if possible to ride a little higher. I've been looking at the following packages:

I have no clue as to the different stages. I'm not going to be doing major rock crawling but want a system i can leisurely off road in without damaging my taco. Please help and please keep the snarky GOOGLE it / search the forums remarks to yourself. I have looked and again, i am very new to all of this and beseech your wisdom.

I live in San Antonio, TX and would like to stay within a 4-5k budget including install. I'd prefer to have a shop do the work as most will warranty the work. If i can get it for well under my budget, i would be most grateful. Also, if you have a recommendation for a suspension system, please link it in the reply so I can take a look at it. Thank you.

 

Lift is overrated vs performance brother.

 

Icon won’t go wrong. And it is solid as an on road choice as well because of the digressive shock engineering.

Your height requirements of 4 inches changes the game however. If you can live with 3 high performance you have lots of choices.

Save your money, buy a good set of coilovers and never look back.

 

Whats the difference in the stages? I have no idea what stage i would need. Also the BDS is 4", are they any good? Their warranty looks pretty solid.

 

I’m just saying if you want more lift (4+ inches) then you’ll be looking at other style lifts that are mostly aesthetic. 3” is about the tip top before you get into drop bracket lifts.

That is a drop bracket lift, requires cutting the frame to drop the front diff. Very difficult to reverse if needed and no extra clearance or performance from it. Stick with 3 inches below.
Each kit has different components to it is all. Minimum is
Front shock/coil over rear shocks, new leaf pack, new upper control arms, new u bolts, dims, carrier bearing spacer
Reservoir, bypasses, and the like are not really needed. You may need extended brake lines.

 

Where are you located? $4-5k buys a nice setup, but even nicer if you can get a few guys over for pizza/beer and a mod day to install all your stuff without paying a shop...

 

4 to 5 GRAND. Hell you will have a real nice setup for that amount. I did FOX 2.0s and upper arms for about a grand.

 

2400 for the kings
800 for the leaf pack
600 to 800 for uca
Ubolts and brake lines around 250

 

What's the best low maintenance performance coilovers or do all need to be rebuilt after a certain time period?

 

They all need rebuilt with exception of the bilstein 5100 and old man emu., they are just throw away. Not sure if the 6112s are rebuildable

 

I got 43K miles on my FOX 2.0s before they started to seep from the seal on the drivers side.

 

How close to the ocean do you live? Thinking about salt air casualties.
