Ripping out backseats and console n plastics.
:brianr: After owning y 2009 Access cab for 10 years :rockband:and reading a zillion threads and watching youtube videos I finally removed the rear seats and useless speaker box that has kept me from using the rear "SEATS" and area to full capacity. :benchpress: OH BTW you don't even have to switch power off bc the woofer just un-clips. Anyone looking for these seats and hardware? Now I need to figure out how to insulate the back wall. I kept the rear wall cover bc it does give me some sound insulation. I did spray bed liner on the metal. Also spray painted the storage box lids black.
I'd like to remove that back panel altogether. Any ideas on what to sue or build to replace the sound barrier? Also anyone know how to attach hooks on the headliner? I'd like to attach some hanging nets to stash the dog toys and such while leaving the floor space free for a dometic fridge :spending:or some kind of fridge.

My goal is to build a 2 large dog friendly camper and adding energy sources for the rear camper for dogs to have AC or fans running. Can a second battery be added in the engine well of tacoma 2nd gen? Any ideas welcome. I use crates in the truck bed and have a 6 inch raise of my camper shell. Also going to build a slide out for the bed so I can get to the dogs easier and pull out their humongous crates.

Wanted to be able to easily remove my grille without interfering with my grille lights. So I added a trailer pigtail as a quick-disconnect.

Is this the new garage!!? DUDE! I'm so :jellydance:

I believe it's on top of the transmission.
Here's a tranny out of a prerunner. Should be similar across models.

It's my birthday! My wife got me a new shift knob and tailgate lock to replace the hose clamp I was using. Is the shift knob as nice as the one you can get from Rick at https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...-2-1-4-diameter-utilizes-factory-boot.534205/ ? Nope not even close!

As for the lock. I'll never remove it. It's extremely frustrating to install. One of the little rubber o rings got butchered during install, even though I read the online instructions and lubed it well.

Yes, I got the slide from Jon. Super nice and helpful. I think everyone here is much nicer and I look forward to meeting more people who want to ride/camp/explore with me and the fam.

I have seen that picture and I don't think my trans has that line. I followed every line I could feel that sits on top of the transmission. I posted the link to a thread I made with pictures that show the only line I can't identify, coming off the top passenger side of the trans and ending into a metal bracket. Here is the thread with pictures if you want to see.

What model HU is that? This has been on my wish list for a while now. I'm still waiting for the factory one to crap out.

How do you like it? Did you integrate the steering wheel?
