    Hey guys,

I installed a full OME lift with the heavy Dakar leaf pack and Total Chaos upper control arms.

    Here's what I installed:
    • Front suspension
      • OME 886 coils (OME2886)
      • OME 90000 firm struts (OME90000)
      • OME front trim spacer 5mm (OME95PF5) on driver side
      • @HeadStrong Off-Road strut assembly (coil isolators, bushings, washers, and strut mount)
      • @TOTAL CHAOS upper control arms (96504)
      • Mixedmetalwork Cab mount chop
      • Hammered and sealed pinch welds
      • Trimmed fender liners and fender flares
      • Remolded fender liners
    • Rear suspension
      • OME 60091 nitrocharger sport rear shocks (OME60091)
      • OME dakar heavy duty leaf pack (ARBEL096R)
      • OME U-bolts (OMEU53B)
      • OME driveshaft spacer (OMEFK29)
      • @HeadStrong Off-Road leaf spring and shackle bushing kit (FBK05TAC)
    • Wheels/tires
      • 5x 17x8.5 4.3" BS -11 @SCSPerformance dark bronze F5 wheels
      • 5x 285/70R17/C BFG All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires
      • 27x M12x1.5 extended thread spline @SCSPerformance black lug nuts
Approximate measurements (probably not super precise). Note: I had decent sagging while running stock suspension for two years with a @SouthernStyleOffRoad hybrid bumper and winch in the front, @SOS CONCEPTS sliders, RCI Metalworks front skid plate, and a camper shell and bed drawers in the rear (that was eventually replaced with a @KB Voodoo mid-height bed rack with a Freespirit Recreation high country series roof top tent).
    • Measured from the center of hub to the bottom of the fender
      • Before
        • Front: Driver Side 20" / Passenger Side 20"
        • Rear: Driver Side 20.25" / Passenger Side 20"
      • After
        • Front: Driver Side 22" / Passenger Side 22"
        • Rear: Driver Side 24" / Passenger Side 24"
    • Measured from the ground to the bottom of the fender
      • Before
        • Front: Driver Side 34.25" / Passenger Side 34.5"
        • Rear: Driver Side 35" / Passenger Side 34.75"
      • After
        • Front: Driver Side 38.25" / Passenger Side 38.25"
        • Rear: Driver Side 39.75" / Passenger Side 39.25"
I have a ton of info and pictures of the lift install process in this post.

Thanks! I'm really happy with the lift so far especially for the price.

Heck yeah! I get my bp51 on Tuesday! How is the driving with the 285?

Also how was the spare getting under there?

That'll be awesome. At first, I was wondering if I'd regret going on the cheaper non-adjustable side for the lift but I have no complaints so far with the exception of the leaf pack squeaking some but I was expecting that given past reviews.

Driving isn't bad at all. I got C-rated tires to try to reduce the MPG and power loss.

Getting the spare down there wasn't bad at all but that's probably since I have the exhaust cut and relocated the hoist back some. I went into detail on that in this post.

Where did you order from to get your kit so quick? I ordered mine 2 weeks ago and they are telling me it won’t be until the first week of May. Might have to change order spots if someone has one in stock.

285/70/17’s. Got a set of 5 for $500 with less than 2k miles of a new Rubicon.

Yup if I didn't screw up and buy 16s Ray 10 I would get 255/80 falkens. The best part is I have scs sr8 in a 17 in the garage right now....they go on my wife's 4runner tomorrow hahaha

Really dig this forum. Tons of information! Hats off to all those who contribute!

So I think I've settled on this setup but I have a few questions. II'd appreciate any advice. I drive a 2018 double cab TRD OR
I will have a bumper and winch (at least an extra 150-200 pounds) but not immediately. Do any of you know how stiff the ride will be with the firmer shocks and 886 coils until I get the bumper and winch on? I'm afraid any other coil than the 886 will sag.

Also, does the taco lean exist on the 3rd gen? I really don't see it on my rig. Do I need to add spacers when I install the kit?

    I appreciate and help!

Your ride with 886s and no weight up front will suck and be very jarring. In fact it sucks even with a bumper and no winch. Depends how long you want to wait until you get a bumper, could always switch coils after you do and get 887 for now. If your font bumper/winch combo will be around 150 lbs the best set up is 888 coils.

Swissrallyman I sure appreciate the advice!
Now to dial in my bumper/winch weight and get a lift on order.

OK its done, its sits exactly level now after the lift from ground to center of wheel well. Wish I had some rake but its ok for now, may put in 1" blocks in rear later but I have no issues with ride or noise now.
