Thanks for all the work! The swingout is as good as new and the front bumper looks great!

What Joe at @Mobtown Offroad noticed while we were taking the front bumper off, is that my driver's side outter boot is already leaking.

@MY50cal july 4th 2017 was around the time we did them. Good times lol

guess i'll crawl under my truck soon to asses both sides.

Well, I'll most likely be MIA for a little while!

Heading to the Philippines for vacation! Going to be in Manila, Tagatay, Dabvao, Cebu, MoalBoal, and a few other places I forget right now.

SO stoked for this much needed time off, but once I get back the truck build will continue and Squareone Creations will have my undivided attention.

Finally got new headlights on. They were the cheapest I could find, but I’m pretty sure I can’t aim the driver’s side -_-

Oh well, they work and are better than the terrible yellow OEM ones

Also Noticed the driver's side CVJ axle outer boot is already torn...

Might go with these CVJ or just reboot? I've never replaced the boot but I know @EatSleepTacos has lol

    Any advice?!

Rebooting is way easier than people thing. Like, way easy. All you need it two special clamps, and a lot of gloves and paper towels. It’s just messy. I do it because I can keep oem axles and put on oem boots for like $50 a side. Can’t beat that.

I think I might outright buy another axle, then reboot this one to keep as a trail spare. The other side will inevitably fail as well too lol. I feel like it was yesterday when mojo @MY50cal and I did the front axles lol

Another weekend adventure in the books! Took the truck with the intention of making it to the Cigar meet, but things didn’t line up and missed it. Oh well, next one! At least we got a private tour of the animals and we got to explore a new town! New Paltz NY

Finally testing out the bike rack with a bike on gen swingout! I hope it doesn’t move too much at the wingnut point, because the extension needed it’s basically a giant lever!

Joel if you want a spare wing nut, let me know and I’ll ship it over to you. I have no use for mine but it could be handy to have as a backup in case you lose yours.

yeah save that for me! Question since you had the same bumper. Do you think the single piece of 3/16" will hold up where the wing nut attaches? I'm worried that over time it'll flex and potentially crack there, since that's the weakest point as it sits.

I wish I had access to Solidworks simulation, so I could at least attempt at running some static and dynamic loading lol

I would be worried about that. In order for me to be comfortable running that set up, I’d want something on top of the swingout, securing it to the tailgate somehow to try and minimize flex. Not sure how I’d do that though. Probably would have to get creative with the steel tailgate skin and a welder.

Below is how reinforced the hitch on the swingout is. I trust that, I just don't know if I trust the 3/16" plate without additional gussets from the plate to the swingout. @Mobtown Offroad what do you think? am I overthinking it?

This is what I'm worried about:

    upload_2019-4-30_9-39-0.jpg

Maybe I should add more gussets here:
