I just bought a kicker CX 300.1 amp during the best buy sale...now I have to get an sub. For everyone running a sub behind the rear seats - is there any concern with the sub rubbing against the seat backs? Does it cause vibration? Damage to the sub or seat? Do you run your truck with the rear seats up or down? Does up impact the sound quality at all?

There are a lot of awesome looking installs here but none of them leave much wiggle room.

    Thanks for any advice.

I had a box of that leftover from my sub & door project until just recently. I put a new Sirius antenna in and had to remove the headliner so I figured I would see how much I could get done and to my surprise it covered the whole roof. I only had a piece around 8" x 10" extra.

I might be very late, but I’m not impressed with these things at all. Had a client bring me two of the 12” and they were pretty bad. And they’re a surprisingly large footprint, just super thin. Even with two, I wasn’t impressed. Plus the wiring then come with is crap CCA

i don't have any pics and don't want to take out my kids seats right now to get em. but yes it fits and you do indeed have to remove all the plastic behind the seats. all of it.

Marv doesn't seem to spend as much time on here as before, but if you look him up you'll find him with a vendor page which has his phone number, and that's how he does business. super nice and helpful guy, just a phone call away. he's truly a pro so it's worth the effort. this was a bit of time & work to get done, but I'd do it again. i needed something... my last install was a pair of 10W7's, so a 13TW5 was kind of a minimum for me.

Anyone have rough measurements of a single 10" box for behind the seat on passenger side?

I am looking for the same thing, but more specific measurements. Basically, I would love to use the JL Stealthbox, but I'm not spending 730 dollars on a box without any option over speaker or ohm load. I would use a different low profile speaker. I will build the box but being fiberglass, its those front groove locations and width/depths that i could use. Being I could pull the storage out and mold the fiberglass to that, but the front is a different story.

Here are the measurements I used. 1/2" birch used. A full sized Image Dynamics IDQ-10 fits in the box and stuffed it with polyfiberfill. I did have to remove the plastic passenger side seat backing to keep the woofer from slapping it.
