I hope that clip haunts him the rest of his life. Even if you don't have your facts straight, the hesitant stammering of his delivery was painful enough.

I’d guess no, there’s more additional complexity through electronics. I’m no expert but in the long run seems like a vulnerability. I hope to be wrong tho, if anybody can pull it off it’s most likely to be Toyota.

How much will fuel cost then? Will insurance be affordable when a computer car is deemed safer and human driver is considered a liability?

Pretty sure the google self driving car has been in like 6 accidents and they have all the telemetry data to prove it was the human driver's fault.

I picked up my Taco because it was, at the time, the /last/ truck you could get with a stick shift. For some, that will be reason enough to like it as a "classic" pick-up truck. But it won't hover like the 2040 tacomas, so...….

Nope. Because 1st gen are classic in 20 years from now but third gen will be just a third gen. The only way third gen will be loved is if it was the last gen.

Well they are gonna make the tundra and Tacoma share the frame in the next iteration, so I think it kinda will be...

Still don't think it will hold the status of the 1st gen, and the preceding Toyota Pickup before it.

There will be 3rd gen Tacoma ghosts, all across this great nation. Still hunting for gears long after the truck is dead and gone.

Disclaimer - I do not believe trucks are alive, nor do I believe in ghosts.

Don't know, don't care. I only guarantee my actions. I guarantee that I won't be hanging around the fifth generation forums bragging about my generation.
