3rd gen falken wildpeak poll for issues or non-issues poll

hello. I purchased p rated and had balance issues. Had them balanced 3 times. Tried a different pair. Then didn’t want to wait again so switched to Ko2’s. I liked the way the wildpeaks handled in the rain better, but like the stiff feeling of the KO2s. I may try the e rated on my next tire purchase many years from now but for now happy with the Ko2’s. Balanced first try no issues.

Wanted to set up a poll for those curious.

 

Did you or the shop ensure that the yellow dot on the tire aligned to the valve stem? When my Falkens arrived and I saw the red and yellow dots, I had to look it up. I informed my installer and had no issues.

 

No issues, great tire.

 

best tire ever....super quite I have 12,000 on them and no hummmmm

 

Had a set of p rated that balanced out almost perfectly- just one tiny weight. Replaced them with a set of E's that took multiple attempts to get balanced well.

Over 12,000 miles on the Falkens.
Quiet, smooth and good traction on pavement. Good in rain, snow and on ice.

 

There have been some complaints. No tire manufacturer is exempt from issues.

We started using new green tire trucks on the 265/75/16’s to eliminate the crushing of the sidewall. Also not sure if they changed some or one of the components but they ran an X-spec the other day in the plant on that size as well. Thought it just said something about using the new green tire trucks but I doubt they would turn it into an x-spec for just for that

 

265 70 16 here. No balance issues. So far so good.

 

had a set of 265/75/16 put on sr8 scs wheels at discount tire about 2 weeks ago, loved the way they looked on the wheel, pulled out onto a 55 mph stretch and had a wobble in the steering wheel from about 55-65 mph. Made another appointment to have them re balanced, pulled out and same thing. After that they then told me one of the tires was out of round and ordered me a new one, went down for a 3rd time to get the new tire and drives perfect now. Love the tires so far (only about 500 miles) but was a bit of a hassle, especially since the closest discount tire is about 45 mins away. I had read about the balancing issues and what not but just crossed my fingers i didnt have that issue, all said and done im glad i purchased this tire

 

Same here. Balanced fine, no vibes at any speed. I have been up to 85 without issue. Great tires.

 

I was doing 75 out on the interstate the other day and took notice of how smooth it felt.
