According to TW you need a Manual , long bed , jacked up , giant tires , sliders , skids , bumpers and hundreds of LEDs , that is just to start . Now that I think about it wish I had one like that and Im mad that I don't .

thi is just my opinion, but trucks should only come with a "long bed", whatever that is for each model truck (Tacoma, Tundra, Titan, Dodge Ram 2500.......). A truck is designed to haul things. Therefore, why would you want to short change your capability to haul the maximum possible amount of stuff that your truck is otherwise capable of? Now I realize that in some niche scenarios, a "long bed" may be detrimental, but if that type scenario is your normal situation, then get the short bed or a smaller truck.

I passionately hate that Toyota doesn't offer the long bed option with the real transmission (6MT), but for me, it is more important to have a real transmission [I drive the truck every day], than to have the long bed [I do not haul very often].

Short bed...Wouldn't be able to park in my garage if I had a long bed.

Long.. Because I'm old enough to remember the days when you could load your dirt bike AND close the tailgate.

I went SB. Easier to park in my short garage and driveway. Easier to maneuver and will perform better offroad when needed. I also prefer the look. When I decided against the automatic, my only option in a double cab was a sport dcsb manual. Super happy. Long box.... i would almost look at a half ton.

A man of distinction and fine judgement.

    "Who but a man
as quick at deceit as a fox.
He must have the grace of a dancer,
    the wrist of an assassin.
    He must have little regard
    for good faith.
    Yet by his astuteness,
be able to confuse men's minds.
    He must have confidence
    in himself...
    yet not permit that confidence
    to render him incautious.
    He must charm
as a snake charms a bird...
yet he must make no friends...
    except those that can
    be of use to him.
    And for the same reason,
although we make use of love...
    he must not love.
    You may go now,
    all of you, except...
    Andrea Orsini.
    You question me?
    Then go!
    You're pleased
    with my choice?"

    "I have never questioned
    Your Lordship's judgment."

I don't fit in my parking spot with the short bed as it is. I've been debating tire swing-out but that will just make it worse.

My truck for example is listed as having a curb weight of 4325lbs

    GVWR is 5600
That leaves 1275lbs of available payload. Door sticker list only 1100lbs but the real payload is 1275, with 175lbs reserved presumably for the driver.

Shirt bed can load a whole bike. No need for long bed.

It all depends what you're loading in your truck. I use it for business w/ cap. I need every inch I can get in the bed. I considered the short bed but many of my 5 ft plus items won't stow without putting them on the roof and whatever doesn't fit inside would have to go into the cab area - chemicals, etc. That's not safe or practical.

I’ll play your game. And raise you a 6ft long bed. Tail gate is up and bike is guaranteed to stay in the bed lol. 7DBF924D-C0E2-45BB-A876-3D6F4BA865CA.jpg
