I have the Toyota OEM flat black side step and need to do a small touch up on the paint - just verifying that a Toyota Dealer has the matching touch-up paint...

Is there a specific paint code, or will the dealer have it in their system?

    TIA

I don't know but I would guess that your dealer does not have touch up paint for the side steps. The vehicle itself yes, Toyota branded accessories, probably not. Call your dealer and see first. Here is my suggestion, go to your local Do-It Best hardware store and see if they sell a paint called Do-It Best Rust Coat Enamel. It comes in flat, matte/semi gloss and gloss. It also comes in pint cans. I paid $4.99 plus tax for a pint can of flat black that I use to touch up my powder coated boat trailer. The paint is tougher than the powder coat believe it or not. I use a cheap small hobby type artists brush to fill in the chips. The paint is oil based so you will need some solvent to clean up with. I believe the steps you are referring to are powder coated black so my suggestion of flat or matte black should work for you.
