Same ~10 pounds lighter but if you wear a waist and that’s a bit loose you can hike your pants up before you fit down.

This pretty much mirrors my experiences. At this point I'm a disciple at the altar of AIWB and sing the praises and path to all who would listen. It honestly is the reason I can carry a compact instead of a subcompact/pocket pistol.

Different body types, I guess. At 5'7 & 160-ish I can conceal a Shield or Commander-length 1911 at 5 or 6 O'clock, and nothing larger anywhere else. The largest I can get away with AIWB is something .380 Bodyguard-sized.
On the other hand, during the winter I can conceal pretty much anything, IWB or OWB, because this is jacket country from November-March :notsure:

    Edit- Me, for scale:

Same here. Sub compact is the only size I can reasonably carry appendix. Compact is just to large to do unless it's a very short period of time. It hinders my movement to much.

My favorite place to carry is my pocket though. With a one of those holsters that stays in your pocket when you draw your gun. It takes practice though to draw. It's not as fluid as IWB to me.

Owb all day when it’s cold. So much more comfortable than appendix.

I always liked under shoulder holsters in the winter. That's when I get to break out the compacts.

In your pocket like in a jacket? Or in your pants pocket? I have a Desantis Nemesis for my Bodyguard, but I can only use it in a jacket pocket.

As you can see in the gif above, I'm not a huge dude but I'm not rail-thin either. I've got big thighs, and even wearing Levi's 569's there's not a whole lot of room on there.
It's not uncommon for me to carry my 5906 or my G19 during the winter. Occasionally I'll even carry my 1911 or my S&W M&P, in a Blackhawk Serpa, if I'm going someplace disreputable

Carry my G19 almost exclusively, but @4:30 or in a sticky holster in cargo shorts......

Taking my Shield off my permit cause it is too hard too get back on target after 1 shot. Putting my 226 with TLR-1H on my permit in it's place, with ne in a T Rex arms IWB.

If I lose a few more lbs, say 35, can go AWIB. But not moving the needle on this scale too fast.

Pants front pocket. Not all pants work though. Pocket has to be deep. You pull up and back and the flap catches the holster and out comes your pistol. It's not as good as IWB, but you can do it pretty fast if you practice. You have to work at grabbing your pistol right without getting your hand stuck.

As far as a jacket goes, I have never go a pocket holster to work good enough for me to want to carry that way.

Speaking of practice, I just picked up one of those G-Sight laser bullets. Those are really handy to practice drawing and dry firing. Not to mention it makes sighting things in really easy.

Only works if it's zipped. Otherwise when you try to draw the pocket just comes with you

None of my pants work for a pocket carry, unfortunately. Everything prints like crazy against my leg.

Yeah, but it's sort of pointless. 99% of the time that I'm wearing a jacket, everybody else is too. So I want something with more punch than a .380

And since I'm wearing a jacket, I can conceal something bigger. :notsure:

Recently been experimenting with a new summer carry set up and I tried AIWB a couple times and y'all are monsters. I'd rather not have the muzzle poke my junk like that when I sit down.

I'm sure it's not as bad with a smaller firearm but damn.
