    Where the hell do I have to go local to find a new TV that isn’t a smart tv? I don’t want a smart tv because we use AppleTV units here and the added nonsense added to the interface annoys me as it tries to take over everything.

    Trying to get something for my wife’s birthday next month.

    I would check best buy for some older TV generations, they usually have them on the side. I bought the ps4 sony tv two years ago, not with the smart shenanigans (i think)

    Regrettably I think this will now be the standard as the service providers likely pay for the inclusion of their access into as many devices as possible.

    @G.T. have you checked Microcenter? They usually have some good stuff. I think your going to be hard pressed to find a name brand TV that isnt smart. All manufacturers are headed that way. I'm selling my 65" 4k if your interested.

    @G.T. just surfing Microcenter website I see they sell a couple Vizio that are non-smart but have chromecast built in. LG also has a few smaller displays that arent smart otherwise your gonna have to go with uncommon names like Westinghouse to get away from the smart features
