Thinking about getting a RTT and installing it on-top of Double Cap. Does anyone know the weight capacity of the cab? My truck is a 2009 DCLB

PS: I have a snugtop super sport on the bed but having a DIFFICULT TIME trusting it’s weight capacity for the RTT + 2- adults.

Make sure you understand the difference between static and dynamic ratings. Also, the roof rack you plan on using comes into play.

Static - rating while the vehicle is parked

Dynamic - rating while the vehicle is moving

I have a topper with a prinsu roof rack:

Nice setup. Thanks, I understand static vs dynamic. Have you had any issues with the topper and the weight of the RTT?
Prinsu on my list of racks for the cab & topper

I had the same concerns before getting my james baroud. I put it on a thule rack system with rails, ontop of a Leer camper shell on my 14 DCSB. I dont love it being up there all the time, being my daily driver and all, but no problems yet and about a year in. Squeaks a little bit and you can feel the truck move when im up there with another person, but nothing has come of it
