The way I drive, my gas mileage sucks anyways LOL...

Ever since I took the air damn off and switched to the TRD rim/tires on my SR5, the highest MPGs I have been able to get is 18.5 lol..

2.7L is actually a stout little workhorse. It's already slow but loading it up really doesn't hurt performance or fuel economy much. I towed a 2500lb enclosed trailer about 250 miles with the bed loaded and got 15mpg. Plenty of 4x4 V6 guys get that completely empty.
I wouldn't worry too much about frame rust. I'm in Rochester, my trucks been thru 3 winters and the frame looks fine. Uncoated drivetrain components, exhaust etc. have some rust, I'm planning to clean up under there and do a corrosion inhibitor.

You can probably get by with 2wd and snow tires, but 4x4 makes it that much better in the snow. I'd recommend it.

I had the I4, 5-speed in a reg cab 2nd gen. Anything bigger than that and I'd go v6.
I almost went 2.7 in a 3rd gen but waited too long and they discontinued the I4/5MT so I had to go v6. Best procrastination ever!

Had a 2015 DCSB with the 2.7 auto. Now have a 2018 DCLB with the 3.5. I found the 2.7 to be anemic. Get the 3.5. You won’t be disappointed.

IDK...sometimes I wish I'd gotten one. Especially when going to the beach. An extra foot of room in a bed tent/mattress set up goes a long way. That foot would also help me pack a good bit of crap I dont need, but would feel good about taking.

A6F is better aircraft.......it can penetrate deeper.....linger longer....... and drop a bigger load....:).....hehehe.....great airplane......Russians hated it because of the multiple station nuke threat and the ability to fly on the deck avoiding radar, pop up to re-fuel and keep going......
