I have thought (at my last house) to replace it all with crab grass lol

 

Yea, I tried weed-n-feed one year. I had dirt.

 

I legit started with a dirt patch about 40'x60' and after 1 year it was entirely blue grass, but with water rations (on post), I didn't want to get cited for watering it during droughts. It died.

 

Not yet. Waiting on a paint shop to schedule it.

 

I dethatch the front almost every year too. I get a lot of grass that turns white or light brown that lays horizontal ( matted down ) MORE WORK I despise weeds and crab grass so lots of weed and feed , crab grass preventer and the grub control too. I think the grubs create the matted dead grass by eating the roots ,pesky bastards. Then the skunks come and dig the lawn up to eat the grubs . It’s a friggen jungle out there

 

I just planted clover in the woods for the deer !

Just learned that I shouldn’t have de thatched my lawn because I sped up the germination process with all the rain coming after.

Yo B When mounting your quick fists to the inside of the bed did you just use self tapping screws ? Are they holding up ok ? Thanks

 

I think a black and red would look cool like the Overland cap that ARE offers

Only time I had quick fists mounted in the bed was when they were attached to the bed rails and then they were mounted on metal brackets I made. I attached the quick fists to the bracket with stainless steel bolt/washer/nylock.

This looks pretty good.

 

I could easily water mine but first I need to aerate it then lay down some lime to convert the clay to soil. Then I could begin working it.

 

You going to the same place Jim went Jerry? Red to match?

 

Probably not. I got some quotes from paint shops in my local area. One shop, a rather small shop, was about the same price as Jim's. I just have to wait to get in. Also, who would have thunk that red is more expensive?
