Mounting shackles to stock 3rd Gen Taco

Hey guys, I'm looking for some advise on how to mount recovery shackles to the front of my stock 3rd Gen Taco.

I 'm not looking into defacing the front bumper for a beefier bumper just yet so I decided to just mount some shackles for now until I decide to put on a good bumper with a whole winch and shackle system.

Anyone know what tools I need to mount the shackles to the front? I'm assuming I have to remove the stock recovery points in order to mount the shackles but I'm not sure what other tools I need.

 

From what I remember bullet proof fabricating had a shackle mount that replace tow hook on passenger side. IIRC you need an extra bolt for it. Keep in mind, that doesn't make it a proper recovery point!

There's a pretty recent thread about adding a pretty slick low profile hitch receiver to the front that included shackle mounts. It keeps most of the front bumper and looks almost stock. It's pretty bad ass looking, really.
