This is why I like full hoops, I know exactly where my the front of my truck is and where my corners are based on them. Helps maneuver my DCLB through tight trails.

But I have to disagree, at my height the scoop isn't even blocking anything. I see right over it.

But it clearly is by definition. It's a few inches higher so it does block the right side corner when I'm leaning and trying to get a better view, even at 6'1".

Again, it's not something you notice until you've actually driven each regularly and have driven them down the same trails. I can say from experience the visibility on the OR is better, even if it is just that little bit.

I replaced my completely functional steel wheels with completely functional alloy replacements. For aesthetic reasons (though I do like the steelies and may have a tinge of regret). Same thing with the grille (your example)--still functions as an automotive grille. Though I have no desire to replace mine.

I've always hated wheel covers for pretending to be something they're not. I fell the same way about a hood scoop that serves no function. It'd be right up there with tacking on a V6 emblem on an I4 Tacoma. I think it'd be silly.

Do I care if you or anyone else does it? Nah. To each his own.

None. You could not pay me to put it on the truck. Its fake, and I don't really understand the appeal, to be honest.

Thanks. Ya, I did them. They turned out pretty good, though I'll need to open them up at some point for better low beam lenses and to clean the inside of the plastic outer lenses.

I bit the bullet as well. Hasn't been delivered yet though.

    Hood: $580.10 CAD
    Parts: $267.35 CAD
    Total: $847.45 CAD (~$630 USD)

I've only called 2 paint shops so far, but it looks like it's going to be about $400 CAD (~$300 USD). I'll be in for close to $1000 USD once it's all done.
