In preparation for gusseted spindle, I wanted to replace the seals that are within the spindle.

I am talking particularly about this seal. According to the internet and my research the part number is 90312-96001. Has anyone replaced it before?

Yes they are easy to replace, knock the old one out and put a small bead of grease on the new seal garter spring, then pound it on with a piece of wood to avoid damaging the lip of the seal. Timken also makes a replacement seal you can get at any napa/vatozone parts store
