    Hi everyone.

My name is Jesse. About 3 weeks ago, I finally bought what has been my dream truck for years. I purchased a 2019 Tacoma TRD Off Road. I cannot wait to start doing mods on it and make it my own. If anyone would like to follow my progress or simply follow another Tacoma enthusiast, follow me on instagram @Super_Blanca_Tacoma . I am also brand new to lifting trucks so I may have a lot of questions for some of you more experienced folks. With that said, I cannot make up my mind on whether I want a 3" lift or a 6" lift. I love the look of 35" tires on the tacoma. But I've read that many people have issues with a 6" lift further down the road? Can anyone share experiences and maybe share photos of your lifted trucks?

    Welcome to TacomaWorld!

If going for off-road performance, you would be better off with a quality 3” lift. If you just want it for cosmetic reasons, then you would be fine with a 6”. Definitely do your research. There is a ton of info to be found here on TW.

Start reading in the suspension section.

Welcome to TW... I don’t do any hardcore wheeling but I have a 4 inch drop bracket lift. The lift has been on my truck for almost 2 years and I have had no issues.B3F7824A-CA00-4335-B0FC-2BE9790218B3.jpg

    Welcome to TW!.

Not a 3rd gen but this is a 3" lift. This a stage 2 lift by Icon Vehicle Dynamics. The rear has new shocks with reservoir as well as an added leaf to increase height in the back. I also have the delta joint upper control arms by Icon. I've only had it a few months but so far so good!

Wheels are 275/70/R17 so about 32.2" diameter. No rub so there's no need to chop the front and great turn radius. The ride is great and feels much tighter than stock. The only time that it's uncomfortable is when your going over a mall parking lot bump, but lets face it....we don't have these trucks for mall crawling ;-) Shocks expand quickly so it feels like they are hitting the ground hard. They're still settling so it may get softer later.

Pic is taken in Big Sur this past weekend.
