For those with the dealer unable to duplicate - go on a test drive with the technician. Often a lot is lost in the communication between you and the service writer, and them and the tech (have y'all see how poorly they write up the repair orders?)

Don't wait, take it in and get it documented. Then save the service records stating they cannot duplicate. Take it in every week for the same problem m if necessary, but get video proof in between visits, and give them that proof each time.
If they don't write down your complaint correctly, you won't be able to use lemon laws.
    Yes, this is great advice.
Being in a similar situation myself, it's honestly not about forcing them to give you a new truck, it's about forcing them to acknowledge then fix the problem. And if they don't, you still come out with a truck that doesn't have that issue in the end. Once that starts happening en-masse, they'll create an actual fix.

Also helps to test drive a new truck and video document that it doesn't have that issue with the same parameters (speed, gear, etc)

After dealer tried to tell me noise was normal over and over. They finally had a master technician look at it. Master tech agreed abnormal and getting rear diff replaced.

So far so good. Only driven it about 50 miles so far though. Just BS they kept trying to tell me it was a normal noise.

I hear ya man. I'm having all sorts of vibration issues with mine. Only 1K on the odo.

This will probably be my last Tacoma.

I knew I should have gone for the 19 Frontier PRO4X. My 16 Frontier was SOLID. I abused the hell out of that truck and was an awesome truck.

I bought my son a 2012 Nissan frontier with 14k on it, it now has 92k miles....not one issue whatsoever with it. Should have bought one too...btw...They are finally redesigning it for 2020... I'm thinking trading out. My first Tacoma and probably last. First truck in shop within 2 months of ownership. I bought because of their bullet proof reputation...guess not in gen 3.

Yes the one and ONLY reason I didn't go for the frontier is because I didn't want to drive a truck that looks 10 years old. But thinking now, I rather it look old but be reliable.

My last frontier never saw the dealership. I've hauled crap in the middle of summer fully loaded between Cali and Nevada with temps outside 120+, not even a hiccup.

Same reason here. It's a 15yr old truck. Looked at new Ranger, didn't like it. I read that they are selling like hot cakes but have yet to see a Ranger on the road and I drive 60 miles round trip daily. Wierd. Frontier out sold the ranger by more than double in first quarter. Hopefully no more problems with the Tacoma.

I know the advisor wrote it up as a pulsation but I told him it felt like going over a washboard last 50ft or so to stop although was slight as well. They said it was rear drums warped...and turned them. Crazy with only 2000 on odo. It also seems like it fumbles through gears but dealer said its normal.

Just got the TSB done for the vibration. They ended up replacing the rear axle and so far the vibration has stopped.

Mine had the whining and they found excessive metal shavings in rear diff and replaced. All quiet now, hope it lasts. If not I will keep taking it back....3 X and can go after lemon law.

My family gave me crap about buying a Toyota as they have the be American buy American mantra. I told them buying because they are bullet proof...now eating crow.

I just bought a 2019 TRD off road 4x4 two weeks ago. I noticed the vibration when braking since day one. I finally took it in, and they were able to duplicate the vibration. They are replacing the rear axles, let see what happens after. There is also a weird whine noise coming from the abs pump, but they said that is normal. I’m starting to get a little concerned. I’m coming from a 04 Tacoma with 290k with 0 issues since day one. Now I guess I also have to listen to howl noise coming from the rear differential.. geesh!

Mine developed the rear end howl around 2000 miles. Let off the gas around 55 and there it is. Currently living with it as it's not that loud yet.
Mentioned it to advisor when I brought it in for it's yearly service last month. Wouldn't document it and just said you have the extended warranty if it gets worse let us know crap!

No whine, but horrible braking problems.
