I have owned 6 toyotas in the past 12 years. I've had the Taoma for 4 months and now have to pay to replace wiring harness due to Toyotas decision to use rodent food (soy) as covering for wiring. Wish I could get out of this lease now. Any ideas on best way to prevent this from happening again other than tape dealer is suggesting?

It’s not the wiring but the
Protective black wire loom. I don’t think Toyota controls the chemistry on how that stuff is made. I’m sure it was considered as a viable alternative to a 100% plastic product.

    Soybean curd. Ok...
I was actually asking a question because:
1 Toyota got the class action suit dropped last year
2 I haven't found any press release or manufacturer spec. That says they did stop using soy insulation

My cat takes care of anything that comes in the yard, she either kills them or runs them off.

That’s one helluva scary looking snake. Definitely must be a proud papa.

Definitely! I don't like snakes at all so was happy Murray took care of it, wish I had video of that day cause it was striking at her and she was dancing around trying to get at the back of the head.

Yes Toyota does and there is no soy "oils" in the manufacture of the plastics. Only petroleum based.

Sucks. Happened to me, too. See if your insurance covers it... mine did, minus my deductible.
