[SOLD] Colt Police Positive .32 - On Consignment

I have a .32 Colt Police Positive for sale at Patriot Arms in Ipswich, MA. Price is $475

This is near mint condition, with the blueing from the original 1911 manufacturing date.



Writing on the barrel reads:

"COLTS PT FA MFG CO HARTFORD CT USA
PATD AUG 5 1884 JUNE 5 1900 JULY 4 1905"

Off-the-shelf ammo is available for this gun, it takes S&W .32 Long.

Thanks! I wouldn't be parting with it, but I've got two of them, and since getting a Tacoma, I seem to be spending a lot of money on vehicle parts I didn't even know existed.

 

Ahh yes the endless Tacoma mod list. I inherited a pre ww2 38 S&W it a tack driver.

 

Apparently Teddy Roosevelt had the NYPD switch to the .32, as he felt it would improve their accuracy.

I've put less than 50 rounds through it in the years I've owned it, as it was the more mint condition of the pair. That said, both it and its twin tend to be pretty accurate. Firing it single action is scary, how light a touch the trigger needs when its staged.

 

Wow, I have one of those as well, not in as good of condition as yours. Very accurate gun.
