    For those saying top heavy, you’re not wrong but it won’t be THAT top heavy. People with caps, roof racks and RTT’s are about 300-400lbs above the bed rails and they survive.

    You're right. I'm running 400lbs above the bed rails, and yeah, i don't feel like i'm going to spontaneously roll over, but I don't think I'd want to add another 200 pounds if I could help it! :)

    Hey everyone,

    I appreciate the responses so much.

    I got to have my Tacoma, I am not going to get a "full size truck".

    The deck platforms are sweet, just out of my budget at this time.

    I like the ramp idea a ton, and might use that for getting around in the woods- but for highway travel that space on top of the toolbox will be critical for hauling extra gear. It looks like I am going to be able to just barely fit my rancher on the right with a toolbox and I am just going to beef up the tailgait with some extra support.

    I'll update later if ya'll are interested, thanks all these replies were great.
