I'm 54 years old and this Taco is the 34th car I have owned. It is however the 6th Toyota and two of those were 22re forerunners.

That all said - this is my first ever pickup truck - so naturally I'm stoked.

    The truck is a 2001 prerunner. 3400 v6 - auto - SR5 - off road package.

That gets me a sunroof, red everything - a locking diff - 16 inch wheels - six speaker stereo, power windows and door locks.

It has 152,000 miles - I'm in Canada so that works to about 245,000 kilometres.

The kid I bought it from got it as a graduation gift back in 2008. He put about 60,000 miles on it and then it say mostly unused for a couple of years. He and his dad paid for the maintenance though, the truck is super clean.

I'm a fully equipped DIY guy - looking forward to fixing what needs fixing but honestly teh truck doesn't need much at the moment.

I see evidence of water ingress into the passenger side - so will be implementing the TSB. The brakes shudder pretty good at speed. The kid's mechanic replaced the rotors a year ago but the shake is still there so I will be looking at the rear drums. There's no wobble at all on the road so I doubt its tie rods or ball joints - but will look at them anyway. There's evidence of recent suspension work having been done so someone has been keeping an eye on that stuff.

Anyway - looking forward to giving and taking to this forum.

Nice truck. Any plans for mods or are you keeping it stock? How much did you get it for?
