I have the Greenlane Offraod aluminum full front engine skid plate with oil filter access panel. Fitment was perfect and the welds were nicely done. Looking forward to seeing what else they bring to the market as their prices are a welcome relief for the Canadian market.

Where did you buy your skid plate?

    a couple things
These have the flared holes for strength flat plates will bend / bow much easier , they also serve the purpose for allowing you to wash out the crap that will ultimately get caught in them if they have holes or not . A little inspection door for oil could be added but these fit 2nd gen and 3rd gen only having a rear cross member that is different , the mess made from trying to do the oil change to try and not take the skid off which is all of 2min is kind of pointless I thought but we could re think that ?

100% blast and coat with either epoxy or powdercoat in Canada they will be sandblasted from the road grime in 1/2 a winter and be nothing but rust , we will have it done if they are local I always find shipping scratches the heck out of things and best to be done local if you can ...

Do any of these skid options require an exhaust re route?
Seems like the exhaust is the lowest point on the 2nd gen.

None "require" an exhaust reroute, but some can benefit from it, giving you an extra inch of clearance there. Some cannot from it (no way to tuck the skid higher by removing a spacer, etc.)

4 wheel parts has access to All-Pro offroad. I just order a set of Apex rock sliders for a decent price in Canadian dollars

New Canadian Tacoma owner here, and so happy to have found this info. US pricing is killing me. These products look really well made, and pricing is right. I've reached out to both. I did a google search for Canadian companies prior to finding this post, and these did not come up. That's too bad if they are being overlooked by an algorithm.

I got plates made by Okanagan Expedition, and I love them. Front skid, transmission skid, plus LCA skids. Aluminum construction, nicely fabricated. I like them so much I'm using the sticker as my avatar for now. I painted mine black and made up a red insert for the laser-cut logo to match my trucks' black and red theme. I might strip the paint later, so they can be seen better, idk...

I just received my RCI front skid in the mail, I havent installed it yet however I love the construction and the customer service was fantastic. I went with the black 3/16" Steel.

I was in doubt between steel and aluminum but after seeing these, I think it helped make my choice + the price is good.

PS: Have the same barcelona red Tacoma. Love it!

Just installed the OKX engine/trans/LCA skids. Super easy install, good instructions. My only issue was that the hardware included for the LCA skids was a mix of imperial and metric bolts. I reached out to OKX about the issue and they're working on sourcing metric hardware. Overall really happy with the product!
