Has anybody talked with ADS about fixing this in the future? Honestly kinda wack to get shocks spec-ed to the truck that don't fit the truck without adjusting hydraulic hoses

Twist the cans harder one way or the other and the hose moves in or out, in relation to the spring. I didn’t have to loosen any fittings and it doesn’t move with the suspension.upload_2019-4-25_20-8-59.jpg

I gave it a shot tonight and was able to get it done by lifting the front of the truck, adding a bunch of fluid film to the threads and using a punch to turn the coupling. I also used a ratchet strap around the springs to act as a spring compressor. Worked pretty well.

Good idea with the strap, but why did you use fluid film vs something like WD40, just curious

Do you have to run wheel spacers with that bypass?

No reason other than it was handy. I’m sure any common lubricant would work.

Those threads are protected now lol. My only concern was that it would solidify into a gummy like hardness

He has clicker you have to adjust the 90* fitting on the clickers otherwise you have a twisted hose.

How much preload were you able to get with this method?

Guys with clickers, how do you like them ? I'm back and forth on it myself. It sounds awesome, but not quite sure if it's a large benefit for what I'm aiming for. I dont have massive amounts of weight in the back. It is my daily still as well. I feel like if I did have massive changes in weight it would benefit more. Anyone have them and set and forget ?

I have them and mostly don’t change them now but as my build changed with plate bumpers, winch, bedrack etc. I have changed them several times already getting to this stage.

If your build is complete and you won’t be changing anymore weight then you’d probably be fine without clickers but with valving specific to your setup.

Thanks for the feedback. I checked out your build it looks awesome ! I've narrowed down to king ( group buy happening now) and ADS. It is coming down to price for me at this point. I've decided on the icon leaf replacement. So you're rocking the bilstein 6112 front and ads 2.5 clicker rear. Any issues up front ?

Was rocking 6112’s for a while until I got my front plate bumper and later added a winch - then I upgraded to ADS extended travel remote resi’s w/ clickers on the front. No problems with the 6112’s except that spring rate wasn’t enough once the bumper and winch were added. I went with 700 lb coils on my ADS setup.

Running ADS clickers on all 4 corners and couldn’t be happier.

I have a little more than 1 inch of threads showing. I have the 650 lb springs and I could have gone more but this got me to where I wanted the truck to sit. When I checked my 2nd gen was at 23 inches from fender to center of hub and I have full set of skids, sliders, plate bumper and winch.

I may try this, I want to raise my front a little after since I left it almost at stock height because i thought the bumper i installed would sink the front end down but It didn't so i wanna take a little bit of my rake away.

How close to the ocean/ bay do you live and drive?

Sorry you lost the bling factor but that oxidation doesn’t affect the performance in any way. Much better than harmful orange rust and looks to be on par, if not better than other brands.

I also used fluid film and feel like it did more harm than good. All the salt would stick to it and fluid film could possibly cause some kind of reaction.

Mine look worse than yours but they have seen 4 winters where roads become white from the dry salt and they have about 70K miles. They r way past due for a rebuild but still ride good and no leaks.

A little wire wheel will shine them up again but the corrosion will return faster without new protective coating.
