What would you pay? 2018 TRD Off-Road, 12,500 miles. They quoted me at $34,500 for a brand new 2019 TRD Off-Road. I’m hoping to be in the $32k-$33k range. They just got this in and need to process it in the shop is what I was told before they can price it.

Looking to make the jump to the 4Runner from my Tacoma.

Looks clean, I think that's a good-ish price for the year and miles. Is it going to be sold CPO? If the delta between new and used comes out to only $1500 I'd have a hard time justifying not buying the new one. It's like not even an extra $30/month if my extremely primitive math is anywhere near right. That said, the used one will still hold its value well and you can't go wrong with an T4R...

My guess is that T4R will be in the $34k range. If you take the KBB trade in value of $30,500 as a reference. That being said if you can get it for $32-33k they’ll still make money.

The only advantage on the used one no TSS. If that's a wanted option. The 2019, is the one to buy. I'd still buy new, if the price was really close.

I got a 18’ off-road premium for 36500+tax brand new back in April 2018. Premium was a requirement as I hate those cloth seats.

Yes I’m assuming it will be a CPO. I’m waiting to hear the numbers from him. I don’t 100% want new, but I guess if it is only a $1500-$2000 difference it might be worthwhile. I know they probably paid somewhere in the high 28-29 range, so they’ll make money off of it either way. Thanks for the advice though!

Yeah I definitely don’t want TSS, so im going for a 17’ or 18’.

As nice as the leather seats are, I’m honestly not a fan. So I’m super interested in this standard TRD one they got for that reason. I’ve had two cars with leather seats and I was never super happy with them. I’m waiting to see what kind of offer they’d give me for my truck as well. I don’t want to lose on it a whole lot so it’s contingent on both sides of the deal.

I had a 13 Tacoma prior. Hated those seats. The softex was a big selling point for me. They clean so easily.

My only complaint about a 4runner is that there isn’t much technology on board. And that’s not even a huge deal for me. When I was shopping, it’s crazy how much technology is available on cheaper vehicles. 4runner comes with a hefty price tag but lacks most of the modern gadgets.

A 4 Runner made in the 1800's would be extremely rare and probably bring quite a bit. The apostrophe goes before the 18 not after. This, '18, not this 18'.

It looks nice, but I have no idea on value. I've found KBB to be a fairly accurate indicator of value, not exact, but at least you have a starting point. But every zip code is different, you'll just have to crunch the numbers where you live.

I had a 2011 and that’s how I felt, not a huge deal breaker though. Going from the Tacoma to the 4Runner isn’t much of a difference though, they have the same tech essentially just a different layout. I always just think of it as Toyota investing more in the durability of the vehicle rather than the looks and pricey components that can be prone to going out.

Test drove it and while it is definitely nice, I found out you can only have a sunroof with the premium package and I am not a fan of the leather seats. Sweaty back and the lady was not happy with her sweaty legs either:anonymous: one thing I really wasn’t impressed with was how low powered the fan is for the A/C and heater. When I get in on a hot day I want to be blasted with cold air like the Tacoma does. While it’s a nice rig, paying close to $40,000 for the premium model does not sound fun. Dealer informed me you can’t even order one with a sunroof and not get the leather seats. If only Toyota would put sunroofs and not have to have leather seats:( the wait continues to see what the new 4Runner lineup will bring in the next couple years to come.

I would buy the 18 if it was 2k or more less than new , certified and excellent condition .

TSS-Toyota safey sense is supposed to be coming out on the 2020’s. Blind spot monitoring, parking assist, and pre-collision deceleration/braking sensing I believe

Did it come with any options besides the carpet floor mats?

Mine came with rubber floor mats.
I opted out of sunroof, KDSS, and all additional port add ons as I don’t like paying for crap that I don’t want.

That's a good deal, I just ordered a 19 premium with moon roof and running boards and the carpet floor mats, got it for 37,100. Plus I had em throw in a case of oil filters and weather tech in channel rain guards. How do you like the softex overall? I've always been a cloth guy myself. Just curious why you were looking to sell ?
