Hi, new member here from near Orillia Ontario (Canada). It was time to move on from a high KM Nissan Titan (great truck) and a Tacoma is where I landed. I researched what vehicle to get past the point of madness...Nissans have done me well in the past and a 2019 Frontier PRO-4X nearly happened, but the 14 some-odd years in this generation is really showing its age in the interior and options. The Tacoma was always my first choice anyway.

So I ended up with a new 2019 Double Cab Automatic TRD Sport "Upgrade" model in Barc Red, and added a Trifecta tonneau. What a truck...this thing is simply amazing in practically every way. You name the option, I love it, and use it (except for the lane departure).

The first must-mod was the tailgate power lock, very happy with how that went together.

I am a car audio guy from Alpine's CAN II days as well as the early days of IASCA, installed competed and judged, so audio will be the next upgrade. The only puzzling thing so far is the quality of the stock speakers...the front door 6x9s have the magnets of cell phone speakers. If I have any advice I'd like to repeat from the many great threads here, at minimum do the front door speakers. I did a modest Kicker 6x9 upgrade to get things started, and the difference is remarkable.

And thanks so far and into the future to the many contributors here who have gotten me started with this. Nothing beats forums like this IMO. I hope as I learn I can contribute as well.

And yeah, I am wordy, very wordy. Apologies in advance.

Welcome to TW enjoy the truck! The lane departure can be shut off, though I like it.
