I had some steps / nerf bars but removed them in prep for some sliders. The bolt holes on the rocker panel for the steps had little plastic plugs. I still have them and can put them back but once the sliders are on these might be hard to get to. Is there a better approach to plug those holes? Maybe not an issue, but thought maybe it's a place for water to get in and cause issues.

Put the plastic plugs back in. You can additionally shoot threads with fluid film or something prior to doing so if you are worried about it.

I just plugged some on my 04 4runner with m8 nylon machine screws. Little more robust than the plastic clips but had to source them from McMaster Carr
