LS swap or supercharge

    If it's your daily driver, what does your state say regarding inspection and engine swaps? Some states don't allow swapping a 4 cyl or 6 cyl to a V8. You might also need to pass obdii inspection and if the VIN in the computer doesn't match the vehicle that could be a fail as well. In those situations, the supercharger might be your best option.

    I hear you; I also prefer to "keep it within the family" when possible. Point being, the answer to your question "why not put a Nissan motor in a Nissan?" could very well be that "I want a V8 and Nissan doesn't make one that will fit." An LS will fit in many engine bays that other V8's won't.
