Ok... Does anyone know an alignment shop that is truely worth a shit?

I went back to this last shop... they're cool if someone wants tires or a basic alignment... but after I pretty much told them what I need, they did the opposite of what I said, and the rubbing is worse.

Trying to stay within an hour of Modesto... yes, I'd drive 45 minutes out of my way for an alignment tech that doesn't have his head in his ass.

Probably way too far, but if you find yourself near Sac, these guys kick ass and are straight up. I've had all my tire/wheel/minor suspension work on my trucks and my wife's car done here, including coil installs on Bilsteins and OMEs, and MAcPherson top bushings on my wife's old POS Jetta. They will price match tires too, got my Coopers there and had them mounted on my F5s.

They are only open a half day Saturday, first come, first serve,FYI. Secret: hours say 7:30, but I think they start work at 7. You could do an early run with your morning jo, drop it off, then go across the street for breakfast at Waffle House for a medicore omelette.

    Technically, yes.

Probably not something you’d get pulled over for, but something they might write down if you get pulled over for something else.

I got ticketed once when I had clear lenses instead of orange ones on my Legend. So, I am sure they can write you up if they want.

Thanks gents. I love the blacked out retro HID lights and thinking of adding another project to the list. Looks like I'll just keep the reflectors orange. If I ever did get a fix-it ticket it'd be a bitch to pop them open just for that. My current lights are a BHLM halogen with white reflectors like Ferny. Guess both of us are risking a ticket currently.

About to spend alot of money (for me) on BAMF armor. Full set of skids and sliders. I'm not going to powdercoat the skids. I'm okay with just painting them and touching up when needed. I'm on the fence if I should spend the extra cash on powder coating the sliders(DOM). I know they'll get skuffed up more and will also be visible from an aesthetic standpoint.

Any of you just painted your sliders and have any experience with this? Any regrets not powdercoating them?

Maybe powder coat then do rattle can touch-ups. That way the hard to reach but also less exposed to wear areas might hold up better.
