I recently got a new Tacoma (2019 SR, access cab, 4x2, 2.7L), and already I want to modify it! I'm used to driving an old '99 Tacoma and the '19 is a foot taller and has more body roll than I like. As I won't be going off road, I would love to lower it. I found a kit from SOS that will do the job (2" front and 3.5" rear lowering) but the tail pipe would have to be modified (which might affect some of my warranty). Anyone here have any experience with the SOS or other lowering kits, and modifying the tail pipe to fit? Is it worth risking the new truck warranty?

Thanks newb13! Love the after picture. Looks great. That's exactly what I want. Have you had any warranty problems or issues with the modification since?

Would be cool to see some lowered Tacomas. Not my thing but I can appreciate it.

That's actually not as bad as I thought it would be.

I remember back in the 80s when everyone ran lowered mini trucks.
