You REALLY need to regear - it's cheaper than a trailer....just sayin.

Even WITH a trailer, you need to regear.

I've been eyeing revolution gears and install kits on Amazon... Think I'd probably go with 5.29s though

See, way to think ahead! :D

Nah, I got lucky and so far I’ve had zero clearance issues running 315s and the only leak issue I had was thru the wire grommet into the cab. But I’ve know a few dudes on here that have had issues with leaky tubs and I’m pretty sure there was a member who didn’t take enough off and had to go through the cut/weld/seal shittiness again.

I’d say just take your time and go past what you think you might need. In fact, I scored some stock bumps from Tim the Shock Dude that were cut down to half their height to use as the bump limit to build in some margin. I cut out a shit ton, but I don’t rub up front. (The rears are a different story :anonymous:)

Spark plugs came in, didn't have a lot of time so I only did the driver's side. These plugs only have 23K miles on them o_O

Changed the other 3 plugs this evening, found a vacuum leak while I was at it.

I guess the truck runs better? Can't really tell much of a difference but I only drove it a couple blocks

I had my sliders welded on way back when because I didn't have the skills or tools to do it myself at the time. They ended up being welded a little too close to the front wheel well so I had to cut the slider some

Sledgehammer surgery worked for 33s but wasn't ever going to make 35s fit

Now that you cut it up, you'll never be able to sell it.

    Probably voided the warranty, too.

Keep up the good work, man! I know personally how much it sucks, but it’ll be worth it once it’s done!

Thank you, I have been dragging my feet with working on this truck lately and I appreciate the encouragement :) Ive been working a lot and have not done a good job with time management for this truck as of late...

Fender support needed to be trimmed so I found a scrap to booger weld on there. Got lazy and didn't want to adjust the welder setting for the thinner metal

    IMG_20190508_211814.jpg IMG_20190508_214420.jpg

Made about a million tacks and then did lots of grinding even though it will all be covered with seam sealer and undercoat. You can see where I cut it and hammered it into place along the right side.

    IMG_20190508_214559.jpg

Wish I hadn't been so lazy in cutting, I'm gonna have to make a couple fun size pieces to fill in the rest of the fender
