Like I said in my older post I ordered OEM ones for my truck I wasn’t telling the other guy to get oem ones.

What tire size is the max you can put on with stock suspension and without a lift?

Sorry if that sounds like a smart ass reply but its the truth. Depends on what wheels you're running, how sagged your suspension is and what kind of tires youre running.

 

265 or 31’s

My 31’s rub at full lock but my suspension has 220k

 

265/70r16...and even those might rub on turns/compression depending on how aggressive they are.
Anything will fit with enough cutting and trimming

 

Picked this little guy up yesterday with 180k paid $3500 drives like a dream. No shaking. Isles smooth. Clutch and tranny feel super strong. 99 Tacoma single cab 5 speed.

It’s my new work truck/daily. I sold my 2014 dcsb 4cyl auto. Had no power and car payments suck haha. Looking for a tool box now

 

Anyone have an idea what bearing they use in the AC idler pulley? I have a nice collection of pulleys now that just need a new bearing, but so far, no luck sourcing one!

The squeal could be the clutch on the compressor. You should be able to watch it engage disengage when the truck is idling with the AC on. I think I had my belts off and just decided to give mine a spin when I discovered it.

I've seen 35s with stock suspension... Much cutting and welding was needed though.

 

The squeal usually happens when I'm applying load (acceleration) I.E. when I'm getting up to speed on an on ramp. That's what has me thinking it's more a lose belt than the pulley bearing. (Also, the fact that shooting belt dressing on the belt seems make it go away for a few days.) But I'm thinking I'll do the bearing anyway, when I replace the belt.

The squeal has been happening intermittently for a few weeks, so if it is a lose belt, I'm sure it needs replaced by now.

 

Tighten the belt some. They stretch over time, especially when new

Picked up a new 12” passenger

 

I replaced my driver's side cv axle over the weekend. It's had a slightly tear in the outer boot for a while. The job took longer than I thought it would since it was my first experience with a cv axle replacement. Getting the old one out was easy. Putting the new one in was a b*tch. Glad I finally did it, though. I've been having weird vibrations & humming sounds coming from the front drivers side area, along with a pulsing sensation when braking. It's all gone away since replacing the cv.
