They made a deal I couldn't refuse with all the discounts on the left over 2018's. What I miss about the Tacoma is its size. Parking the F-150 sucks. I pulled a http://www.coachmenrv.com/toy-haulers/freedom-express-blast/17BLSE/3786 with the Taco and the F150 now.

Here are my thoughts pulling with the Tacoma vs. the F-150. The trailer weighed about 3,800 and 4,800 lbs loaded (cargo dependent). The Taco did fine. It wasn't fast by any stretch of the imagination; but, it was up to the task...albeit slow. You have to be comfortable revving the motor up steeper inclines if you want to maintain 50 MPH. This will also keep the transmission temps down vs. lugging it. I felt like I needed to keep an eye on the transmission temps with the Taco (I had an aftermarket cooler) but I do not need to with the F150. The main thing I found with the Taco in regards to tranny temps was running a lower gear and higher RPM if the converter unlocked. The F-150 with the Ecoboost/10 speed is easy regardless of the what your are going up or which way the wind is blowing. Braking, not much difference when towing other than the brakes on the F-150 are better with or without the trailer. I always felt good about with the Tacoma and slowing down.

Final thoughts. After reading the forum and being worried about the Tacoma pulling my trailer, I feel that was unfounded. The Tacoma did fine. We are going to be upgrading to a larger trailer in the next year or so which was my motivation to go ahead and make the switch.

I am selling my Tekonsha brake controller with Toyota Plug and mirror extenders. PM me if you are interested.

No need to justify your purchase. I drove my neighbors modified ecoboost...holy shit it’s fast. Cold air intake, custom tune and velocity stacks in the factory exhaust and gets 21 mpgs.

Forced induction is just hard to beat. I had a mustang GT with all the bolt on's from exhaust forward, traded it in on a bone stock BMW twin turbo with 1/2 the engine. BMW destroyed the mustang and does it quietly. I rented a mustang with a turbo 4 as well. It was just as fast as my older gt, again with 1/2 the engine.
