Agreed and I think thats a big misconception of hikers is they are like whats the big deal...we hike at other bike places all the time, but they fail to realize how much it presses on the rider to react to their presence and we only have so much of a threshold to safely maneuver before just taking a sacrifice to not wipe out some guy who has no protective clothing on. I have not, will have to look into it, hopefully it has a good message to the public about making awareness or something. Whats funny about shed is its a government watershed so there are people there, but its in a region where folks have to come into enjoy as no one lives immediately there but im sure there are still some solid take aways for them as the shed can always improve.

Yeah I guess in Austin they had leadership coming in and out which meant the relationship with land owners and government was all over the place. They eventually realized they needed to formalize/organize to strengthen their presence so people would take them serious. It’s a little more challenging being public land where Austin was private, and eventually purchased by a mountain biker but the overall idea is is still valuable for the shed.

I have a huge head. POC fits me the best. Troy Lee has some larger sizes, but the sweat pours down the front of my face. Fox also has larger sized helmets, but they're not as comfortable as POC.

I'll be getting another POC for my next helmet.

Yeah might have to visit the local Incycle and try some on. Don’t want anything uncomfortable. Anything else I should get? I have a bike stand, gloves, hydration pack, multi tool and bike and fork pump from my previous riding days....but been out of riding so long I Forgot what else I may need

I just got one of these and, as a super sweater, the sweat collection patch at the front is a DREAM COME TRUE (last picture)! Otherwise, it's a nice two-in-one mips helmet. Well ventilated and not TOO heavy, although it's not as light as some of the other brands out there. The magnet clasp is pretty nice too when clipping or removing with gloves on. I was coming from a protec, so I was just stoked that the sweat drips down IN FRONT of my face, rather than directly into my eyeballs all the effing time (omg the burn). I haven't crash in it yet, but I have a bit of faith in Bell and this fancy new mips mumbo-jumbo! For me, I wanted/needed a full face helmet, but nowhere near enough to warrant buying a dedicated one and I also wanted to upgreydd my protec helmet for more ventilation. This helmet doing both pretty well seemed to fit the bill!

The cheapest, possibly effective(?) frame protection kit ever. Just some vinyl I picked up from Amazon and shaped it to fit the bike. Is that what you meant?

Hospitals don’t use “John Doe” anymore, we use a rotating list. John for males, Jane for females, and the last name goes from A to Z and then repeats. This makes things easier to differentiate patients if they get multiple trauma victims from the same car accident or something. Blackberry must be this hospitals name choice for B. The birthday is just an auto fill date. Doesn’t mean anything, but sometimes the date will be the day of hospital admission, and then a random year.

Yeah, it's not cheap, but I got it for $209, which was low enough to make it worth it for me when each of the helmets I wanted/needed summed up to more than that. Let me educate you in the ways of financial stupidity... scoot in closer now... lol!

They are worth it though. A group of friends and I went to a new bike park a year or two ago... like 2 or 3 of my friends had brand new bell supers with the chin protection and I’m pretty sure they all tested them out that day...it saved one of my friend’s face
