I bought it, they shipped it up from NY port area. I just searched CL and the company I ended up using was the most legit/responsive and their quote was the same/within 100 of anyone else. $1800 for the container and $1100 for shipping, with a 5 year floor/weather seal guarantee. Shipping is more than I would like, but I didn't have much for options there.

Have a couple people already mention they'd buy it off me if I ever want to get rid of it, and it was a lot cheaper than any similar sqft pre-built shed. Figured worst comes to worse I can use it for a few years and then sell it for close to what I paid, probably the same even since I am going to tidy it up.

Definitely better than a prefab shed; they're usually junk. The only thing I would offer as a suggestion is to dig out and lay a drain pipe for the area under the doors, and then fill it in with gravel or coarse sand, something that'll drain fast and won't heave much. Otherwise the doors can be a pain once the frost sets into the ground.
The garage I used to work at had 3 shipping containers behind the building for tire storage, and during the winter it was a major pain in the a** to lock them up for the night. We had a 6 foot pry bar that we kept out there, and I used to have one of the techs use that to wedge the door up long enough for me to latch it.

This is a good tip! I was thinking about adding some gravel or something around it for drainage, but I wasn't thinking about the doors in the winter. Guys are coming with machines to finish grading the house and yard next week, and are gonna be bringing gravel for drip edge around the house. I will have them dig out a bit around the container and add some gravel to it, as a matter of fact I'll shoot them a text now so I don't forget!

    Thanks!

I'd love something like that (my neighbor actually has a much smaller one). If I had one I'd have it painted with graffiti all over it

I thought about it and a rolling door for the back, maybe a few extra vent holes...looking into running the electric or maybe a single panel for a couple lights.

Then I realized I was spending as much as a shed. The idea behind this is as a band aid until we can start building a big storage building for the company/us and all the extra stuff we accumulate along with more toys.

I have a feeling I’m gonna really fall in love with this thing and move it to the woods one day after it’s done with its current use. At that point windows and another door or two make sense. Be a nice retreat spot/hide out for future kids.

Edit: I did get some spot lights and a couple ceiling ones from

    www.mrbeams.com

Should work for the random times I need more light or its dark and I'm in there. Spot lights will help if we have creepers in our front parking lot, or I'm walking out in a snow storm and I can't see sh**

Idea is to hide it for now so it
Blends in. Is right next to our business and don’t want it sticking out.

Down the road it would be cool to get a mural or something going

Damnit my brothers always gotta outshine me. First he bought a 2015 G550, didn't have it that long and sold it to my mom :rofl:who loves it! Then he bought an EarthCruiser, and now he bought what has to be one of the cleanest 1st gens out there. Less than 12k original miles and looks brand new underneath. V6 with an Auto

    That truck is absurdly clean.

I wonder if the E-Locker has seized on it yet from lack of use...

One of the benefits of living in CA I guess. I'm sure he paid and arm and a leg for that too. Sold a cool older mercedes diesel to make space for it.

Hopefully he was smart enough to test the e-locker out, but he didn't consult me before the purchase so I'm not sure.
